Our Client is the world's largest Furniture Manufacturer.
Responsibilities:
- Strategize and develop merchandising plans to drive profitability within the product line.
- Analyze sales data, customer feedback, and market trends to anticipate product demand.
- Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms in terms of pricing, quantities, and delivery schedules.
- Ensure product quality meets customer expectations, reducing post-sales service costs.
- Maintain and manage product development timelines to meet project deadlines effectively.
- Coordinate with sales and marketing teams to devise successful product launch strategies and promotional campaigns.
- Oversee inventory levels and liaise with production teams to meet order fulfillment targets.
- Forecast sales and profits, aligning production schedules to meet market demand.
- Monitor stock movements and implement strategies like markdowns, promotions, and clear-outs to optimize inventory management.
- Keep abreast of industry trends and competitor activities to inform merchandising decisions and product development initiatives.
Requirements:
- Diploma in merchandising, marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in merchandising, product development, or a related field, preferably within the furniture or home decor industry.
- Demonstrated experience in managing product development timelines and production schedules.
- Proven track record of analyzing sales data and market trends to drive informed product development and pricing strategies.
- Experience in negotiating with suppliers and vendors to achieve cost-effectiveness.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects concurrently.
- Excellent analytical abilities and proficiency in utilizing data for decision-making purposes.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with the capability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Knowledgeable about industry trends and best practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
- Experience with product merchandising, store layout, and inventory management systems may be advantageous, depending on the company's requirements.
