RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure that the primary role of the Creative Studio, the design and build of advertisement units, is delivered to the highest standard possible
- Establish and lead a robust set of processes to identify problems and opportunities, develop solutions and products, gather requirements and review feedback, and efficiently allocate and prioritise work
- Keep the studio informed on the latest industry news, updates and releases, training both the local and international teams (both within the department and the wider company)
- Lead departmental recruitment by identifying gaps in headcount, sourcing new candidates, liaising with recruiters and organising/conducting interviews
- Focus on increasing the efficiency of the Creative Studio department in general and the production of ad units in particular
- Present creative ideas and proposals to local clients to support the sales team as needed
- Supporting the Global Creative Director by providing leadership and coordination to enhance the personal development of the Creative Studio team, to maximize its potential
- Conduct weekly 1-on-1’s as well as quarterly/annual reviews with the team to assess their personal achievements and goals
- Act as a key consultant for clients and stakeholders, advising on the design, build and optimisation of creatives
- Be a centre of knowledge and excellence for the company, particularly in terms of new creative products and capabilities
- Working on new ideas and refining current products & taking the innovation teams builds and using them for real-world placements
- Contributing to internal projects such as branding, company documents, publicity materials, social presence & other marketing needs
KEY SKILLS & COMPETENCIES
- 5+ years of experience in digital design with at least 2 years in a leadership role
- BA/BS degree in Art/Design or other related field
- Extensive knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, especially Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects/Premiere Pro
- Extensive knowledge of responsive design across mobile, tablet and desktop platforms
- Familiarity with ad building platforms such as Celtra, Sizmek, Google Ad Builder, etc
- Familiarity with basic coding languages such as JS, CSS & HTML
- Ability to consider the long-term impact of decisions while continually elevating creative day-to-day
- Strong leadership and excellent communication skills
- Fluent in the creative and design lifecycle, terminology, workflow, and production management
- Proven ability to manage deadlines and work effectively with cross-departmental teams under strict deadlines
- Ability to motivate, mentor and inspire designers
- Resourceful, creative, and collaborative. A solution-oriented attitude is a MUST. We are looking for problem solvers where team collaboration is key
- Native in English and ability to speak Japanese is a plus
- PowerPoint, Excel, and Word skills a must
