Our client, a reputable MNC main contractor, is looking for a SCL Designer’s Representative (7 months contract). As the SCL Designer’s Representative, you work closely with the designer team and holds a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of sprayed concrete lining (SCL) works within underground tunneling projects. 5.5 days/week working with AWS and variable bonuses.
about the job
- Verify that works is performing in accordance to the approved design
- Verity that works is carried out in accordance to the specified quality
- Verify that the subsurface ground conditions are similar to those assumed in the design
- Advise on any changes to the original design if subsurface ground condition differ from those assumed in the design
- Review and interpret instrumentation monitoring reading
- Liaise and coordinate with the Contractor, SCL Designer and QP(S) on any proposed design change.
- Prepare and maintain detailed records of all SCL construction activities.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and quality standards.
skills & experience required
- Degree in civil engineering, geotechnical engineering or any related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience is required.
- Strong understanding of geotechnical principles, soil mechanics, and foundation engineering.
- Prior experience in SCL tunnelling Design.
