1. Perform daily pre-operational checks on forklift equipment.
2. Ensure maintenance of forklifts and reporting any issues to the supervisor.
3. Receiving and interpreting tally and load sheets to determine the appropriate technique to load and unload materials safely.
4. Safely and accurately load and unload materials onto forklifts and then transporting into / from trucks or containers
5. Operate forklifts safely and efficiently, while maintaining control of the load
6. Use proper stacking and securing techniques for different types of materials and sizes of cargo
7. Identify and report potential hazards or safety concerns to create a safe environment
8. Follow safety measures and regulations at all times.
9. Communicate effectively with other team members such as warehouse workers, manager, drivers and customer service.
10. Follow instructions to ensure smooth and efficient operations.
