Job Responsibilities
- Secure trade finance agreements with banks, alternative finance providers, and brokers.
- Manage trade transactions from initiation to fund receipt daily.
- Evaluate and issue letters of credit, bonds, and guarantees.
- Monitor internal credit lines and mitigate non-payment risk.
- Coordinate and issue negotiable documents (bills of lading, certificates, discharge reports, LOIs).
- Build strong relationships with traders, operations, and the finance team.
- Ensure proactive communication with all departments.
- Engage with banks and counterparts to ensure timely financial securities, payments, and cargo delivery.
- Exhibit knowledge of borrowing base facilities and reconcile bank positions.
- Follow and improve internal controls and processes.
- Update cash and LC bank position files daily.
- Manage daily payments and receipts, and inform personnel of fund status.
- Maintain weekly account balance reports for Singapore.
- Prepare a working capital list of outstanding transactions and payments.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned.
- Coordinate with group offices and manage transactions in other locations as needed.
Job Requirement
- Candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Tax, or Business Administration
- At least 8 years of experience in international trade finance and/or letter of credit operations within a trading company or bank.
- At least 5 years of experience managing borrowing base facilities.
- Consistently demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality in all tasks.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams).
- Ability to work across multiple time zones.
