Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and other related expenses.
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring all costs are tracked and reported accurately.
- Conduct feasibility studies to estimate materials, time, and labor costs.
- Prepare tender and contract documents, including bills of quantities and cost estimates.
- Analyze and evaluate tender submissions from contractors and suppliers.
- Assist in negotiating contract terms, pricing, and payment schedules with contractors and suppliers.
- Administer and manage contracts throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with contractual terms and conditions.
- Monitor and manage variations, change orders, and claims.
- Prepare and process progress payments, final accounts, and retention releases.
- Monitor project costs to ensure they remain within the approved budget.
- Prepare and present regular cost reports, highlighting any variances and recommending corrective actions.
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate identified risks.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate cost management and reporting.
- Provide advice and support on contractual and financial matters to the project team.
- Facilitate effective communication between all parties involved in the project.
Requirements:
· Minimum 2 years of experience in relevant field
· Diploma or Degree equivalent in Building / Quantity surveying
· Posses interpersonal skills and people management skills
· Good communication skills
· Proficient in Microsoft Office, MS Project and AutoCad
