RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and direct support staff in all aspects of the Finance and Accounting functions
- Manage working capital which includes working with the management team for timely customers collections, and aligning cash disbursements consistent with incoming cash receipts
- Manage the cash flows and monitors inter-related companies’ borrowings, and ensure that sufficient funds are available to meet the ongoing operational requirements
- Prepare GIRO settlements for suppliers and workers’ salaries
- Prepare monthly financial statements, and reconciliations/analysis of all balance sheet accounts and bank reconciliation of the company and other related companies
- Prepare quarterly GST returns
- Prepare year end reports for statutory compliance (i.e. ECI and Form C)
- Prepare annual budgets and monthly forecast
- Review and track performance by monitoring variance from forecasts and emphasize on the potential cause, and identify areas of improvement
- Liaise with external auditors, tax agents, corporate secretary, bankers, insurers, lawyers and statutory bodies
- Assists the Managing Director in decision making in the company’s financial aspects and ensure that statutory compliance is abide by accordingly
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor of Accountancy or equivalent
- Member of Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Singapore or equivalent overseas CPA
- At least 5 years of experience of similar supervisory, or senior-level role in finance or accounting position
- Knowledge of finance, accounting, and budgeting
- Knowledge of marine operations, project cost analysis and work-in-progress calculation
- Knowledge of Singapore financial regulations and compliance on matters related to ACRA, IRAS, MOM and CPF.
- Knowledge of accounting software and keep abreast with technological advancement
- Knowledge of factoring or invoice financing
- Ability to analyse financial data and prepare financial reports and projections
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
