Job Summary:
The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for assisting in providing innovative and cost-effective solutions requiring the development or sustaining of new or improved techniques, procedures, or products. The Mechanical Engineer also assist in planning, conducting and evaluating approaches to meeting the project objectives and deadlines in a timely fashion.
Relationships:
Direct Supervisor: Project Team Lead or Supervised by Senior Engineer.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties:
- Design component and assembly with CAD software (preferably Creo Parametric). Prepare engineering drawings and engineering bill of material.
- Analyse, design, develop products and assist in their commercialization.
- Build prototypes, products, and systems required for evaluating design concepts.
- Independently author and execute test plans for prototypes to ensure product reliability and compliance with industry standards.
- Derive engineering conclusions from prototype testing by analysing test results, and simultaneously document these results while developing customer presentations
- Conduct or participate in technical reviews of requirements, specifications, designs, code and other artifacts. Contribute to design standards and support design re-use.
- Collaborate with multiple stakeholders across various functions to ensure timely project completion.
- Keep abreast of novel technical concepts and markets. Adopt new practices readily to develop innovative and low-cost products.
- Maintain familiarity with company technology, organization and business.
- Author technical reports, papers, articles, patents and presentations. Share expertise via Eureka and special interest groups. Expand informal network throughout the organization.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor, MS or Ph.D degree. in Mechanical Engineering or in related field.
- 2-3 years of experience working in engineering is preferred
- Knowledge in structural analysis, metal to metal sealing technologies, experience in product design and development is preferred.
- Knowledge in Creo parametric is preferred
- Exceptional technical and problem-solving skills. Hands-on is required.

- AutoCAD and 3D design are the basic knowledge. Most preferably already familiar with ProE/Creo or similar CAD.

- Understanding of Windchill and CFD is an advantage
- Metal to metal sealing design knowledge is an advantage
- Project Management skills is an advantage
