You will be part of the Finance team that manages the finance operations in a new start-up private limited company under LTA which coordinates the national effort to undertake the electrical infrastructure upgrades and deployment of electric vehicle charging points (EVCPs) primarily in Singapore’s residential carparks.
You will be reporting to the Director of Corporate Services, Chief Financial Officer. As a Senior Financial Accountant (FP&A), you will manage the finance operations to oversee the daily operations and month-end and year-end financial reporting (such as GST, Tax, Annual Returns etc) and put in place proper governance and robust internal control measures, and provide business analysis for management reporting, to achieve financial excellence for the company.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. Ensure the ERP system is designed and set up to meet business, reporting and compliance needs.
- Responsible for all Financial planning, forecasting, reporting & analysis while ensuring compliance with necessary statutory reporting with proper financial governance and sound business analysis for business decisions and cost control.
- Work with internal stakeholders and external consultants on financial and business modelling to support analysis, forecast and management decision making.
- Liaise with statutory auditors, tax consultants, bankers, internal auditors, to ensure full compliance to statutory (accounting, tax & legal) regulations and requirement.
- Review and implement company policies and provide oversight to ensure robust internal control systems and efficient financial processes across the organization
- Provide business partnering to other departments on driving business operational and financial excellence, as well as advising on financial matters, capital expenditure and project initiatives.
- Handles statutory audit, GST submissions, tax and XBRL filings.
- Assist with reporting to Board, Audit Committee and HQ
- Support any ad-hoc duties assigned by management.
Requirements
- Tertiary education in Finance / Accounting or professional qualification (CPA or ACCA) with at least 7 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, financial planning, tax and/or audit as well as experience in business partnering.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, accounting process, corporate tax, GST regulations, and withholding tax
- Ability to lead, plan, prioritize and manage workload to meet tight deadlines.
- Hands-on, self-driven team player with excellent attention to details
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills and business acumen
- Good interpersonal with strong communication skills, both verbal and written, as there will be ongoing communication with government agencies, auditors, and the Board.
