- Day-to-day accounting such as journal entry preparation, account reconciliation, and maintaining the General Ledger
- Ensure timely and accurate recording of financial transactions
- Ensure that all necessary activities are completed to accurately close the books for a given accounting period
- Preparing the financial statements, including Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow statement, and any reporting packs needed
- Perform consolidation, intercompany eliminations and intercompany transactions for subsidiaries and Group
- Aggregate different processes in the business (eliminate discontinued processes, accounting for changes due to policy changes, and record adjustments made by management in the accounts)
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, perform control testing, and contribute to the identification and mitigation of financial risks
- Assist in preparing documentation and schedules for internal and external audits. Respond to audit inquiries and provide information as needed to support audit procedures.
- Identify opportunities to streamline and improve finance processes. Propose enhancements to increase efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
Requirement:
- Must have a Degree in Accounting or equivalent with 3-4 years’ post-degree experience
- A self-starter who is able to plan, organise and take initiative to meet job objectives and deadlines independently
- Proactive, can-do attitude, and passionate about work
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
- Highly proficient in MS Excel, VBA/Macros would be an advantage
