The Chief Investment Officer (CIO) is responsible for overseeing and managing the investment portfolio of a single family office. The CIO develops and implements the investment strategy, conducts due diligence on potential investments, and monitors the performance of the family's assets across various asset classes, including stocks, bonds, real estate, private equity, and alternative investments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute the overall investment strategy aligned with the family's goals, risk tolerance, and liquidity needs.
- Support operation of the family office, including strategy, operation and corporate finance matters.
- Conduct in-depth research and analysis on potential investment opportunities across multiple asset classes.
- Manage and oversee the family's investment portfolio, including asset allocation, risk management, and performance monitoring.
- Collaborate with external investment managers, financial advisors, and other professional service providers.
- Provide regular reports and updates to the family on portfolio performance, market trends, and investment recommendations.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies related to investments and financial transactions.
Candidates must meet all requirements below:
- Bachelor's degree in biosciences or a related field with advanced degree (e.g., MBA).
- 10+ years of experience private / investment banking
- Industry and work experience in aquaculture, by-products, and ingredients from aquaculture.
- Ability to speak and write Cantonese, Mandarin, and English.
- Extensive knowledge of various asset classes, investment vehicles, and portfolio management strategies.
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and risk management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
