Position Overview:
As a Senior Account Executive, you will play a crucial role in managing the financial operations of our company. You will be responsible for overseeing various accounting functions, including month-end closing, full set accounting, and ensuring meticulous attention to detail. Key Responsibilities:
Month-End Closing and Full Set Accounting:
- Lead the month-end closing process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare journal entries, reconcile accounts, and maintain the general ledger.
- Manage the full set of accounting activities, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger maintenance.
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to management on financial performance.
- Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes as needed.
Process Improvement:
- Identify inefficiencies in existing financial processes and develop strategies for improvement.
- Implement automation and technology solutions to streamline accounting procedures.
- Proactively seek opportunities to optimize manual processes and enhance overall efficiency.
Attention to Detail and Meticulousness:
- Maintain meticulous attention to detail in all accounting activities, ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial data.
- Conduct thorough reviews of financial records and reports to identify discrepancies and errors.
- Implement quality control measures to minimize errors and improve overall data accuracy.
Team Management and Collaboration:
- Lead and mentor a small team of accounting professionals, providing guidance and support in day-to-day operations.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performance culture within the team, encouraging open communication and knowledge sharing.
Compliance and Regulatory Oversight:
- Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements and financial reporting standards.
- Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and industry best practices, and implement necessary changes to ensure compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5-6 years of experience in accounting and finance roles, with a focus on month-end closing and full set accounting.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, with the ability to apply them in a dynamic business environment.
- Proven track record of successfully managing small teams and driving results.
- Excellent attention to detail and a meticulous approach to work.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel. Experience with ERP systems is a plus.
