Supply Chain Director

Responsibilities:

  • Capability build up: To build up compatible operation model and capability according to annual/mid-long term development goal and in the combination of Corporate Supply Chain related policy, process and system strategy and planning
  • Continuous process optimization: Through the formulation and implementation of supply chain SOP, and optimize the supply chain operation process such as purchasing, order shipment, transportation, distribution etc.
  • Purchasing Management: Responsible for service, equipment and material purchasing for SG business. Fulfill daily purchasing task including SAP approval, order fulfillment and on-time delivery management. Solve major issues with suppliers in terms of delivery delays, negotiated price, quality made by supplier.
  • Imp/Exp Customs Affairs Management: Understand the Im&Ex regulations of product permits, application procedures and conditions in AP countries, follow up the regulatory policies on the import and export shipments. Establish AP HS code, import tariff database, to ensure the accuracy of daily declarations
  • Warehousing operation management: Well planning of warehouse functions, space, personnel, processes, systems and equipment, ensure warehouse compliance and operations are timely and accurate
  • Shipping management: Good planning of shipping processes, personnel, systems, equipment and packaging material for domestic and international shipment for the goal of on time delivery. Responsible for price negotiation, KPI performance assessment, daily supervision and management of local logistics service providers to achieve the purpose of optimizing logistics carrier services
  • Compliance & risk management: Timely improve and supervise AP import and export operating regulations to ensure that the company's import and export business meets the requirements of local government laws and regulations. Pay top priority on trade compliance and embed customs policies and regulations into daily operating procedures to meet requirements, regular review risk factors with all Im&Ex team and work out mitigation measures.
  • Cross-function collaboration: Communicate actively with commercial, production, Finance etc team to ensure that logistics delivery plans meet customer's requirements. Form, lead and facilitate cross-functional teams as applicable to execute the procurement process and plans;
  • Performance management: Establish team performance goals according to business department requirements, set supply chain operation KPI like annual cost saving goal and on-time delivery goals, and conduct monthly monitoring and review to detect problems in a timely manner and effectively improve and enhance them
  • Annual budgeting: Overall budgeting for AP shipping center, incl. staffing, logistic cost, system, operational equipment, etc.
  • Team development: Establish the team structure with clear R&R that best fits for AP commercial development, develop a high-performance team by talent selection, utilization, education & retention.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain related majors
  • Min 10 years of experience related to Logistics, Customs, Freight forwarding
  • Min 3 years of people management experience
  • Background in Biotechnology / Medical Device is preferred
  • Knowledgeable in regional supply chain management
  • Good understanding of local regulatory for import & export of controlled products. Experience in handling FedEx/ DHL shipment regularly will be added advantage
  • Proficient in international incoterms knowledge
  • Strong data analytical and problem solving skill; Result-oriented with passion for excellence
  • Fluent in both Chinese (as this role liaises closely with regional shipping hub in China) and English in reading, writing and speaking
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; Experience in ERP system is preferred
