Job Description: Senior Executive, Marketing & Communications
The Senior Executive, Marketing & Communications plays a crucial role in elevating the brand and reputation of the Singapore Human Resources Institute (SHRI). This position will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive corporate communications and media relations strategies that align with SHRI's strategic goals and objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Corporate Communications:
- Create and implement a robust corporate communications plan that effectively communicates SHRI's mission, values, and thought leadership in the HR industry.
- Prepare compelling and informative content for various channels, including press releases, website articles and annual reports.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including SHRI members, partners, media outlets, and industry influencers.
- Assist in the planning and execution of SHRI events, including conferences, seminars, and workshops, to maximise brand visibility and engagement.
Media Relations:
- Cultivate and manage relationships with key media contacts across print, online, and broadcast channels.
- Manage media requests and queries from media partners.
- Proactively pitch stories and news angles that position SHRI as a leading voice in HR thought leadership.
- Develop and implement crisis communication plans to effectively manage and mitigate reputational risks.
- Track and analyse media coverage of SHRI and the HR industry to identify trends and opportunities.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop and implement end-to-end Marcoms plan for SHRI.
- Track and report on the effectiveness of marketing and communications initiatives, using relevant metrics and analytics.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate communications or media relations, preferably in a professional services or association environment.
- Skills:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong media relations and relationship-building skills
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms
- Strategic thinker with the ability to execute plans effectively
- Highly organised and detail-oriented
- Knowledge of the HR industry in Singapore is an advantage
