Responsibilities:
- Prioritize keeping the assigned vessels operationally ready at all times.
- Ensure the assigned ships comply with the rules, regulations and requirements.
- Manage vessel downtime efficiently to expedite their return to operational status.
- Organize a planned schedule for the assigned vessels and conduct at least two ship visits per week or more frequently as needed
- Participate in shipboard meetings with the port captain at intervals not exceeding 12 months or more frequently if needed.
- Follow up and close out audited non-conformances and observations by their due dates as documented in reports.
- Assist in incident investigations and work closely with the port captain to complete the investigation report.
Requirements:
- Nitec or diploma, recognized degree in Maritime Studies or a related field
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role
- Proven ability in challenging negotiations
- Skilled in MS Office
