This position is based in Hong Kong (New Territories)
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute health and safety plans in the workplace according to legal guidelines.
- Prepare and enforce policies to establish a culture of health and safety within the organization.
- Evaluate practices, procedures, and facilities to assess risk and adherence to safety laws.
- Conduct training sessions for employees on safety protocols and best practices.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, identifying root causes and recommending improvements.
- Monitor compliance with safety regulations and address any non-compliance promptly.
- Develop and implement emergency response plans and evacuation procedures.
- Communicate safety guidelines and procedures to all employees.
- Report on health and safety issues and maintain accurate records.
- Develop relevant policies to maintain a safe workplace environment.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years in safety management, preferably in the construction industry.
- Excellent attention to detail to identify hazards and risks.
- Ability to communicate safety guidelines effectively to a multidisciplinary workforce.
