About the role

This position is for an Associate Director, Marketing & Communications, who manages a department that includes multiple teams led by managers and/or supervisors in Marketing. Strategizes new product branding and advertising campaigns. Reviews and presents new initiatives aimed at supporting the long-term Marketing and Sales objectives/goals. Oversees the development and implementation of consistent design integrity and marketing materials in support of marketing strategy.


Key Responsibilities:

As an Associate Director, Marketing & Communications, you’ll be responsible for:

  • Strategic Leadership
  1. Develop and execute a robust marketing and communications strategy aligned with the organization's business objectives and market positioning, and in line with corporate guidance.
  2. Provide visionary leadership to the marketing and communications team, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
  • Brand Management
  1. Oversee overall development of brand strategies, promote brand growth and expansion
  2. Work closely across different stakeholder groups including Product, Channel, Country MDs to ensure alignment of strategy execution and consistent messaging
  • Internal Communications
  1. Develop and implement internal communication strategies to foster employee engagement, alignment, and a strong sense of organizational culture.
  2. Drive effective communication campaigns to keep employees informed about key initiatives, milestones
  • Public Relations & External Communications
  1. Lead the development and execution of external communication initiatives, including press releases, media relations, and stakeholder communications.
  2. Cultivate and maintain relationships with media outlets, industry influencers, and key stakeholders
  • Digital Marketing
  1. Oversee the digital marketing strategy, including website management, social media presence, and online advertising, to maximize brand visibility and engagement.
  • Market Research & Analysis
  1. Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor activities, and opportunities for innovation, providing insights to shape marketing and communication strategies.

Requirements

We are looking for people who has strong understanding of APAC market dynamics & leadership qualities. If this is you, get in touch.

As a minimum you must have:

  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
  • Proven experience within Public Relations and marketing communications domain, preferably in the industrial or consumer sector.
  • Strong understanding of the Asia Pacific market dynamics and trends.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Has a proven track record for being inclusive, working well across diverse teams to solve difficult problems.
  • Effectively manages multiple priorities, meets deadlines and executes the strategy.
  • Has an enterprise and global mindset and can translate into local flavor.
