Responsibilities:
- Work closely with FM Site Lead, Mechanical Lead and Fire Safety Trade Lead, in building clear scope, expectations and deliverables for the Mechanical and Fire Safety teams as well as planning for specialty training and develop the capabilities of Mechanical and Fire Safety Team members
- To lead / provide support in the investigation/audit of incident/system failure to determine root cause of failure
- Oversee, monitor and manage Mechanical and Fire Safety systems/ services and specialist vendor contracts to ensure timely renewals and contract requirements are fulfilled
- Ensure timely renewal of authority licenses and permits
- Procurement and Finance Policies and Processes
- Represent Mechanical/ Fire Safety Team as the liaison party on authority matters
- Develop and harmonise trade related SOPs, Preventive Maintenance Checklists and working instructions with the cluster institutions for alignment to prevailing Singapore Standards / Code of Practices
- Plan and oversee Mechanical/ Fire Safety system upgrades/improvements or replacements before their expiration or its end of life through MOHRR or CAPEX funding
- Project Manager or render support to Project Managers for improvement works to existing hospital facilities such as renovation and retrofitting, replacement of system infrastructure and improvement initiatives to existing specialized systems and hospital facilities.
- Prepare Approval To Purchase (ATP) and Approval To Award papers for Preventive Maintenance Contracts and projects. Maintain good documentation (e.g records of all contracts, reports, agreements, checklists) with FM Admin team to ensure full compliance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering / Facilities Management or equivalent
- Certificate in Fire Safety Manager/ Fire Safety Officer is a must
- Minimum five (5) years of relevant experience in management of mechanical systems operations
