Hope Ambulance provides Emergency Ambulance Service and Medical Transport Service, as well as First Aid training, Medical Event Coverage and Medical Evacuations across land, sea and air.

As a paramedic, you will provide pre-hospital care and lead an ambulance crew to deliver emergency medical response. You must be able to assess patients, exercise the principles of triage and provide emergency medical care for patient at scene or in ambulance during conveyance. .

You may be assigned to other projects depending on operational needs, and there are opportunities to take on Trainer roles to educate members of the public on first aid techniques. Career upgrades and prospects in other fields of emergency services (eg. air ambulance, sea rescue, event medical support and training) are available for suitable and qualified candidates.

Job Responsibilities

• Effectively assess patients, exercise principles of triage and render treatment to patients
• Provide advanced emergency medical and pre-hospital life support, with the ability to use specalist equipment like ventilators and defibrillators to treat patients when needed.
• Prepare reports such as Casualty Logs, Conduct vehicle and inventory stocking and maintenance for each unique project
• Lead ambulance crew in daily duties and ensure compliance with SoPs
• Communicate with healthcare partners, patients, and members of public effectively

Position Requirements

• Paramedic Level III / Level 3 Paramedicine Certification
• Higher NITEC in Paramedic & Emergency Care (ITE)
• UPEC-Accredited Paramedic
• Diploma with at least 3 years’ experience in pre-hospital emergency care OR Diploma in Nursing / Degree in Nursing with at least 2 years’ nursing experience
• Possess good leadership skills while being a team player
• Able to work under challenging situations independently and with integrity
• Good command of written and spoken English. Multilingual ability is an added advantage
• Physically fit with good stamina, and able to commit to irregular shift-work, including weekends and public holidays
• Registered Nurses with A&E / ICU experience an advantage

As an Ambulance Driver, the safety of patients and crew alike are in your hands. You will be part of a 2-men or 3-men team providing safe and efficient ambulance transport for those in need. You will be assigned to drive various types of vehicles to transport patients, crew and equipment to/from designated locations. You will carry out operator-level maintenance of the vehicles including cleanliness and routine safety inspections to ensure the vehicles are in good working conditions before use. LTA requirements and Traffic Police regulations for road safety must be observed at all times.

Hope provides professional training for Ambulance Drivers, where you can be certified as a medic.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Respond to emergency and non-emergency activation across a range of cases
• Ensure safe and prompt conveyance of patients and assist Paramedics in providing care for patients
• Offer assistance to patients or respond to emergencies alongside the crew when needed, as advised by the paramedic
• Perform duties pertaining to the care and maintenance of the ambulance, such as cleaning, decontaminating and checking of the vehicle and equipment when needed.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and servicing, and report faults and defects promptly
• Assist Fleet Manager in ensuring that vehicles are at a state of operational readiness at all times, and to initiate any service or repairs according to the company’s standard operating protocol.
• Ability to safely handle different models of ambulance across all road conditions, and in accordance with traffic rules and safety regulations, as well as driving protocols pre-set by the company
• Be well-informed of road conditions in order to efficiently plan driving routes

Position Requirements

• Possess a Singapore Class 3 driving licence
• Good driving record with at least 3 years of driving experience.
• First Aid Trained/BCLS certified candidates are preferred
• Knowledge of hospital policies and procedures an advantage
• Good interpersonal and communication skills, able to work with all levels of staff
• Physically fit and able to commit to irregular shift-work, including weekends and public holidays
• Good command of English; ability to speak dialects and multiple languages an advantage
• Relevant working experiences in SAF or SCDF will be advantageous
