Safety Officer

Job Description

• To provide administrative support to Admin and HR.
• To ensure all accidents are properly recorded, reported and investigated.
• To exercise emergency authority to prevent or stop unsafe acts.
• To monitor employee disciplinary regarding Safety and Health issue for production worker.
• To monitor daily attendance of production worker on their medical issue and etc.
• To prepared medicine for worker (normal illness) and arrange them to clinic or hospital for serious illness/emergency cases.
• To assist in distributing of company uniform, safety shoes, PPE and etc.
• To monitor and coordinate pest control activities at company premises compound/hostel.
• To schedule the housekeeping activities at hostel.
• To submit and prepared document to DOSH (JKKP), DOE, JTK, BOMBA and etc.
• To assist and manage the incident safety organization. Participate and be part of coordinator in ERT activities such as training, drills and during actual emergency situations.
• To conduct safety audit (Fire Safety, OSH and environmental) and report any hazardous condition and provide proposal or advise for improvement.
• To conduct safety induction for new workers.
• Others ad-hoc task as assigned by Superior.

Job Requirements

• Education level: SPM and above.
• Candidate must possess at least a certified qualification from NIOSH or its equivalents.
• Candidate must be a DOSH Green Book Holder.
• Working Experience: Minimum 3 years working experience in similar field/position.
• Special Skill: Excellent leadership, effective communication skills and ability to performed under stressful conditions.
• Knowledge in Malaysian occupational safety and health, and environmental legislation requirements.
• Others : Discipline, hardworking, punctual and alertness. Good interpersonal communication skills to deal with people at all level.
