Job Scope:
An Infrastructure Senior System Engineer is a professional responsible for managing and maintaining the Windows-based infrastructure and associated technologies within an organization. Their primary role is to ensure the stability, security, and performance of Windows-based systems and applications.
Responsibilities:
· Design, implement, and manage scalable, secure, and reliable cloud-based infrastructure solutions and systems.
· Monitor and maintain the health, performance, and security of Windows servers and systems.
· Administer Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and other related services.
· Configure and troubleshoot virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
· Configure and maintain cloud services, including virtual machines, containers, serverless functions, networking, storage, and security.
· Install, configure, and manage Windows servers and services at datacenters.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and support enterprise-wide solutions.
· Perform routine system and application updates, patches, and upgrades.
· Develop and maintain documentation related to system configurations, processes, and procedures.
· Provide level 2 and level 3 support for Windows-related issues.
· Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support as needed.
· Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud infrastructure, network connectivity, and application deployments.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
· Preferably 6 years of working experience in a Cloud Engineer or similar role, with a focus on designing, deploying, and managing cloud-based solutions/operations.
· Proficiency in Windows Server operating systems (2008, 2012, 2016, 2019).
· Strong understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
· Experience with virtualization platforms such as VMware and Hyper-V.
· Solid understanding of cloud networking concepts, including virtual private clouds (VPCs), subnets, routing, and load balancing.
· Knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing security controls in cloud environments
· Familiarity with monitoring tools and systems management solutions.
· Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
· Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, MCSE, MCSA, or equivalent are a plus
