EHS Manager
Our client is a foreign-based MNC in the Chemical industry.
Job Description:
• Responsible for Environment, Health, Safety and Security for corporate offices and application labs
• Ensure compliance of corporate EHSS and local legislative requirements
• Ensure effective implementation and management of policies, standards, and programmes to enable operations at corporate offices and application labs in a responsible and safe manner
• Champion for related EHS activities
• Support Business Units on EHS matters
• Be the Subject Matter Expert and represent Safety, Health, Environment & Security for Business Units
• Develop and implement regional EHSS audits and initiatives
• Responsible for Trade Control topics
• Ensure all relevant licensing requirements for the legal entity’s trading and business activities are tracked and maintained in a timely manner
• Ensure compliance of corporate and local Trade Control requirements to enable operations at local legal entity
• Monitor development of Trade Control and EHS trends that can potentially impact the Company’s business activities and operations
• Act as a advisor to relevant stakeholders for consistent Trade Control and EHSS advocacy
• Ensure that the implementation of Trade Control and EHSS are in alignment with business strategies and operations
• Ensure that the Trade Control and EHSS programmes are kept up to date to meet the changing business environments
Job Requirements:
• Degree in any relevant discipline
• 8 to 12 years working experience in production, engineering or EHS area
• Experience with Singapore regulations relating to chemical operations and trading activities
• Familiar with local legislation system and legal requirements in EHS
• Good understanding of WSH, MOM, NEA requirements, SPF, SCDF and safety legislation within Singapore
• Salary ranges between S$8,000 to S$10,000 per month
