Software Development Integration Engineer

Leidos is seeking a Senior Software Engineer who will be involved with the SkyLine-X program. The SkyLine-X system improves air traffic flow management from takeoff to landing, dynamically adjusting journeys in the air to make air traffic flow faster, safer, and more environmentally friendly. SkyLine offers flexibility and capabilities more than any other air traffic management solution on the market. This role will support the infrastructure setup and system integration of the SkyLine-X system.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide full SDLC development with Java, C, C++ technology 
• Understand coding standards and implement them within code being developed 

• Troubleshoot problems and provide solutions 
• Communicate with the users to determine problems or design requirements 
• Should have ability to lead team and project and deliver on timely manner. 
• Document changes and follow the Systems Development Life Cycle process independently. 
• Willing to learn and adopted new technologies in short period of time as required by the Project. 

• Design solutions for complex projects. 
• Coordinate with the customer to review software application requirements and 
• Develop technical solutions and architectural design for enhancements on the Sprint 
• Participate in schedule and work assignment planning 
• Perform risk analysis design, mock-up, document, unit testing, system testing, Code review and support demonstration to User and deployment of Feature to Production. 

• Support newer members of the team and support them to learn domain and tools/technologies used on the Program. 
• Responsible for GFE and ensuring that IDE tools are updated regularly 

Basic Qualifications:

• Required a Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts. Preferred areas of study are Computer Science/ Computer Engineering/ Information Systems/Information Technology or related Field and 7+ years of Java/JEE experience.  

• Excellent hands on experience of: Java, JEE, Spring 5.x, Spring Security, Spring-WS, JPA, Hibernate, PostgreSQL, PL/SQL, XML, JSON, JWT, etc. 
• Hands on experience of: Design and develop Automated Testing scripts using shell scripts (bash/sh, sed, awk), Selenium, Cucumber, UFT, SoapUI,  
• Hands on experience: testing frameworks and tools such as Junit, Mockito, including defect tracking and management 
• Hands on experience with: DevOps and CI/CD tools integration - JIRA, Jenkins, BitBucket, SonarQube, Eclipse, Hp Fortify, etc. 
• Testing frameworks and tools such as Junit, Mockito. 

• Agile software development methodology, processes, sprint lifecycle, JIRA, Agile techniques is a must 
• Knowledge of: Red Hat Linux and Windows OS and Virtualization. 
• Excellent Written and Verbal Communication skills in English. 
• Strong analytical skills, self-motivation, and attention to detail. 
• Strong work ethic, curiosity, competitive spirit. 

• Develops new technology, modifies the structure of existing software products, and provides technical guidance to complex projects. Reviews final draft documents for conformity to requirements and completeness. Tracks preparation and delivery status of required deliverables. Attends and may lead meetings, design reviews, working groups and briefings. Reports issues and problems and recommends solutions. Performs other related duties in line with tasks assignments. 7 years of experience with at least two (2) of the last five (5) years in a leadership role.  
• Ability to review Open source product and provide recommendation to the Leadership based on the research done 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Model Driven Development, SysML, UML, Eclipse UML Plugins, Design 
• Familiarity with Angular Framework, React, Javascript, HTML5, CSS, etc. 

• Testing frameworks and tools such as Karma, and Protractor. 
• Amazon EC2, Amazon RDS, Elastic Load Balancer, EBS, S3, etc. 
• Singapore citizenship
• Air Traffic Management domain
