Key Responsibilities:
1. Application Review: Examine loan applications for completeness and accuracy. Verify documentation related to borrower’s income, assets, debts, and credit history.
2. Document Preparation: Prepare, review, and ensure the accuracy of all loan documentation, including loan agreements, mortgage documents, and legal statements, ensuring they meet bank and regulatory standards.
3. Compliance: Ensure all loan processes, documents, and procedures comply with local, state, and federal regulations, as well as bank policies.
4. Coordination: Work closely with loan officers, underwriters, and borrowers to gather necessary documentation, clarify information, and resolve issues.
5. Closing: Coordinate loan closings, ensuring all necessary documents are signed and filed correctly. Confirm that funds are disbursed according to the loan agreement.
6. Customer Service: Provide guidance and support to borrowers throughout the loan process, explaining terms, answering questions, and providing updates.
7. Data Entry: Accurately input loan data into the bank’s loan management system for processing and archiving.
8. Issue Resolution: Identify and resolve discrepancies in documentation or application information.
9. Quality Control: Conduct final loan file reviews to ensure completeness and accuracy before and after closing.
10. Continuous Learning: Stay updated on changes in banking regulations and trends in the mortgage industry.
