Responsibilities
- Manage and execute daily operations of the accounting department including: month, quarter, and end-year process, accounts payable/receivable, GST reporting, cash receipts, general ledger, payroll and utilities, treasury, budgeting, cash forecasting, revenue and expenditure variance analysis, capital assets reconciliations, trust account statement reconciliations, check runs, fixed asset activity, debt activity
- Preparation of the Group consolidated financial statements
- Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
- Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies and principles
- Coordinate and complete annual audits
- Supervise & spot check, investigate when necessary, manage the team
- Formulate and implements improvements to SOPs to better manage the group accounts and finances, supervision of subsidiaries' accounts
- HR administration and payroll
- Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
- Supervising junior accounting staff, assigning projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy
- Meet financial accounting objectives
- Establish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactions
Requirements
- Proven working experience as Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor or Finance Manager (min. 5 years) in Singapore
- Experience in Malaysia and Indonesia financial accounting practices preferred
- Ability to manipulate large amounts of data
- Proven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations
- Solid technical background, including consolidated reporting and statutory reporting experience
- Background in Chartered Audit
- Highly organised and structured
- Strong level of accuracy and attention to detail

- Ability to solve complex problems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong time management and prioritisation skills
- Intermediate to advanced computer software skills, including Excel and other accounting packages
- Familiarity with Oracle Netsuite
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Professional Accounting qualifications such as CA or CPA
- May be required to travel to supervise regional subsidiaries
