Our client is a leading conglomerate in Hong Kong, this role will provide relocation to Hong Kong. We are seeking an experienced Executive Director, IT Audit to lead the IT audit function within our client's organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing audit activities related to information technology systems, controls, and processes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. As a key member of the audit leadership team, the Executive Director will provide strategic direction, mentorship, and oversight to a team of skilled professionals to deliver high-quality audit services that support the achievement of business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive IT audit plan based on risk assessment and regulatory requirements.
- Lead and execute audits of IT processes, systems, and controls to assess effectiveness and identify areas for improvement.
- Evaluate the adequacy of IT security measures and data protection practices to mitigate risks and safeguard sensitive information.
- Review and assess the implementation of IT policies and procedures to ensure compliance and adherence to industry standards.
- Communicate audit findings and recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders, driving accountability and promoting continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, external auditors, and regulatory bodies to address audit issues and enhance the overall control environment.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory changes to provide proactive guidance and support to the organization.
- Foster a culture of integrity, teamwork, and excellence within the IT audit team, promoting professional development and continuous learning.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field; advanced degree or relevant certification (CISA, CISSP, etc.) preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in IT audit, risk management, or related field, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of IT governance frameworks, control standards, and auditing practices.
- Demonstrated expertise in assessing IT risks, controls, and compliance requirements across diverse business functions.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Proven track record of managing complex audit projects, leading teams, and driving results in a large, matrixed organization.
