We are seeking a skilled Funds Operations Specialist to join our client, a global asset management firm on a 6 months project.
As a Fund Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the operational functions open-ended funds. Your role will involve ensuring the smooth execution of daily fund operations, maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements, and optimizing efficiency in fund processes.
Role
- Oversee day-to-day operations of funds, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
- Review monthly accounts of SPVs, quarterly consolidated fund accounts, and investor capital statements.
- Calculate management fees and facilitate annual audit process for accurate financial statements delivery.
- Manage compliance with tax regulations for SPVs, including FATCA/CRS matters and investor tax returns.
- Monitor cash management activities, including loan covenant compliance and distribution forecasts.
- Coordinate with service providers for invoice approval, bank account management, and KYC requirements.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Support fund controller in various tasks including entity establishment and closing deliverables.
- Participate in projects for system implementation, internal control enhancement, and process efficiency.
Requirement
- Qualified Accountant or equivalent certification such as ACCA, CPA, etc.
- Minimum 5 years of fund operation experience in real estate private equity or asset management.
- Minimum 3 years supervising outsourced functions like fund accounting, transfer agency, corporate secretarial services.
- Strong hands-on experience with real estate private equity fund operations.
- Attention to detail with ability to manage conflicting priorities.
- Proactive and risk-focused approach to work, adept at identifying and addressing issues.
- Adaptability to fast-paced environments while maintaining efficiency and accuracy.
- Excellent communication skills, both internally and externally
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting software implementation is advantageous.
