Job Description and Responsibilities

Our client is looking for a high calibre professional to join their team and buildup an emerging presence as an Senior Manager Operations based in Singapore. This position will provide all round support to the HDFC Bank Singapore office to ensure adherence to policies and processes laid down for Operations. The job responsibilities are as under:

  • To ensure transactions are done within the Regulatory norms of Singapore and India.
  • To ensure that Bank guidelines are adhered to for all transactions.
  • To ensure that the KYC is done for all transactions.
  • To monitor operational activities concluded in India under SLA.
  • To coordinate with Central Processing Unit to ensure that turnaround time is adhered.
  • To ensure that BCP is in place and is periodically tested.
  • To ensure adequate readiness of Disaster Recovery site. In case of any disaster, to ensure that the Operation team reaches the site timely and Operation is re-initiated seamlessly.
  • Branch General Ledger monitoring & reconciliation. To ensure Cash tally is done daily and reports reviewed and signed off.
  • All stationary (eg Demand Draft etc.) are reconciled daily.
  • Safekeeping & scrutiny of credit related documents. To ensure proper check is done on all outstanding documents & original documents are stored properly in fire resistant cabinets.
  • Safekeeping & Scrutinize the KYC documents received for Account opening.
  • Call Back checking to be done for all transactions initiated at the branch. The report is to be reviewed and signed off.
  • To ensure that the processes rolled out are documented and signed off.
  • To ensure no breach of confidentiality of Customer information.
  • To assist the External & Internal Auditors during the periodic audits, by providing necessary information.
  • To review the audit reports and ensure that shortcomings, if any are plugged
  • Act as the Chief-Complaints Officer and responsible for all query resolution within the stipulated turn around time.
  • Any other related job assigned by the CE, Singapore and Group Head – WBO

Job Requirements

  • Prior experience Banking operations at Singapore Bank .
  • Possess in-depth knowledge to regulatory guidelines on products, processes, systems and basic due diligence.
  • Functional knowledge of MASnet and SWIFT systems.8+ years of relevant work experience within the banking industry.
  • Working knowledge of Indian and Singapore regulatory guidelines, KYC guidelines is essential.
  • Degree holder in finance, accounting, or related field; MBA/CA/CPA or other advanced degree preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong Service and solution orientation.
  • Ability to work well in a team as well as contribute individually within stipulated timelines.
