GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Operational Risk Management (ORM) team focuses on control & governance activities and management of operational risks as the second line of defence. The team strives to be a strategic business enabler in the Bank’s 4.0 Journey, providing timely and robust operational risk advisory services, while ensuring a safe and secure ecosystem for our Customers, Partners, and Employees.

MAIN DUTIES
- Liaise with stakeholders to develop effective working relationships to drive various program initiatives within operational risk management.
- Detect patterns through analysis of Bank’s operational risks data and support the team to build dashboards to anticipate extreme or potentially adverse events through tools including PowerBI.
- Support the implementation of 2LOD checks, i.e. assist in the BAU testing subsequent to the completion of setup/structure of checks or ORM activities. Recommend the areas of improvement (in terms of process, etc.) to the business (where applicable).
- Support the team in the preparation of reports and dashboards to support management and risk committees on operational risk oversight to gain insight on the areas of operational risk.
- Maintain and support department wide documentation and reporting template with the use of technology to improve efficiency.
- Support the team on streamlining processes and User acceptance testing across ORM through automation (e.g. Python, RPA, VBA).
WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Profile of Candidate:
- Proficient in Microsoft office skills with preference on Excel and Powerpoint.
- Programming language proficiency (e.g. VBA, Python, RPA and/or Power BI knowledge) will be an advantage.
- Familiar with ORM concepts and understanding of the banking industry, including the business services, technology and operations will be an advantage.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENT
- Academic and professional qualifications:
- University degree or equivalent, with major study in finance, accountancy, business and/or technology. Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and Power BI
Language skills
- Proficiency in English is essential.
- Ability to communicate complex processes and issues in a clear and impactful manner.
