Job Description & Requirements
The Operations Manager is responsible for the overall management of all piling operatives and the delivery of piling projects.
The Role:
- To direct all contracts and operations with a hands-on approach to the day-to-day activities of the division
- To develop and implement strategic plans for contracts and the division, ensuring that all goals are either achieved or bettered with an emphasis upon service delivery.
- Planning ahead to prevent problems on site before they occur, planning the delivery and storage of equipment and materials
- Ensures that all project costs are properly budgeted and tracked throughout the project’s lifecycle.
- Ensure that all projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Communicates effectively with clients, contractors, vendors, etc., about any changes in schedule or cost projections.
- Producing accurate management reports on time and co-operating tightly with the commercial department
- Report back to directors on ongoing issues keeping them informed of any potential problems that could affect the business
Requirements:
- Min 8 years experience of any type of piling / foundations / geotechnical / ground engineering contracts and operations
- Must possess an excellent understanding of the contracting process, combined with the ability to manage and develop the businesses both technically and commercially.
