About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our client as a Temporary Hosted Buyer Manager for our upcoming retail exhibition. In this fast-paced 1-month contract role, you will be responsible for the successful management of approximately 40 hosted buyers, ensuring they have a productive and enjoyable experience at the event. Your key responsibilities will include:
Pre-Event Management:
- Establish clear communication channels with all hosted buyers.
- Facilitate registration and coordinate travel logistics (if applicable).
- Provide pre-event briefings on the exhibition layout, schedule, and networking opportunities.
Event Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all hosted buyers throughout the exhibition.
- Manage buyer schedules, facilitating meetings with relevant exhibitors based on their buying interests.
- Assist buyers with any logistical needs during the event.
- Organise social events or networking opportunities for hosted buyers.
Post-Event Management:
- Collect feedback from hosted buyers on their overall experience.
- Prepare reports summarising buyer activity and purchasing decisions.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience managing large groups or event attendees.
- Possesses excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with international guests.
- A proactive problem-solver with a positive and can-do attitude.
- Familiarity with the retail industry (a plus, but not mandatory).
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment and is adaptable to changing priorities.
