Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct user research initiatives to identify personas, to uncover insights, to learn about user behaviour, needs, constraints, and to verify design concepts.
- Profile users and identify use case scenarios, then translate them into design.
- Balance client requirements, stakeholder concerns, and implementation feasibility to make informed decisions of which design to prioritize.
- Come up with end-to-end experiences using iterative design techniques, including observational studies, interviews, usability testing, surveys, and split testing.
- Create user-centric web & mobile application mock-up, wireframes, storyboard, user flow, prototype, interaction design, mood boards, and other methods necessary to convey the design concept.
- Support the team throughout the development process and operations.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their goals and to propose a user-centric approach in the development of digital services.
- Provide mentorship to help junior designers grow their competency and capabilities.
Requirements
- Degree or Diploma in Design (e.g. Human Computer Interactions, Visual Communiations, Computer Science, or a related field or equivalent practical experience).
- Minimum 3-4 years of UI/UX experience in designing web and mobile applications.
- Proficient in design tools such as Figma, Adobe CC, Sketch, Miro, Lucidchart, Balsamiq.
- Knowledgeable of design thinking and human-centred design (HCD) concepts.
- Detail-oriented, resourceful, and is kept abreast of the latest UI/UX design concepts.
- Proficient at using typography, iconography, color, space, and texture in designs.
- Familiarity with agile methodologies and the product development process.
- Open minded, explorative, and adaptive.
Preference:
Front end development skills including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
Portfolio demonstrating knowledge in mobile and web application design.
Familiarity with brand & style guide creation.
