Our client is a leading MNC A1 main contractor. They’re now on a look out for an Assistant Technical Manager to support their building projects.
about the job
- Lead a team of design/planning engineers to support in the coordination of design drawings and conduct meetings
- Be responsible for all technical matters of the projects to provide technical support to the project and site team.
- Ensure that the overall construction activities, details are coordinated in compliance with client’s and authorities’ requirements.
- Assist PM in the overall planning, BIM coordination, construction methodology and checking of drawings.
- Review and provide solutions to technical problems as well as planning, monitoring and reporting work progress for building and civil projects.
- Setting goals and targets to ensure that the conflicts and discrepancies within and amongst disciplines are resolved timely for construction on site.
- Upkeep all submission, response for the submission and approval. Monitor the status of the submission and pursue response accordingly
- Formulate value engineering with consideration for time, cost, safety and quality for PM’s review.
- Actively contribute in technical discussions, site planning and site meetings.
- Develop Standard Work Procedures for all critical and major work activities.
- Ensure that the as-built and O&M manual are prepared correctly and timely.
job requirement
- Degree in Civil Engineering or relevant disciplines.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience
- Proven track record in construction projects
- Candidates with experience in a design consultancy firm will have an added advantage.
- Registered Professional Engineer will have added advantage for consideration
- Strong familiarity with authority submissions and regulatory requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and knowledge of BIM.
