2D/3D Art Generalist

Creating the artistic vision of our products, from what you see and experience on screen to the cabinet you interact with at the arcade, this is a highly creative role for an artist with a vibrant imagination coupled with a high degree of artistic skill.

What You’re Responsible For

  • Create character, creature and structural concepts
  • Create environmental concepts that include landscapes, architectural designs, props and occasional mood paintings
  • Create polished illustrations
  • Iterate on in-game asses with production artists via paint overs, studies and group critiques
  • Create high-quality 3D models, textures and UV maps
  • Work with team leads to flesh out and expand the games artistic direction beyond the screen, contributing to the cabinet design, cabinet art, lighting and gameplay
  • Develop relationships with the design, engineering and software teams to help maintain a “Gameplay First” approach to game development
  • Create storyboard sequences that implement storytelling and communication objectives

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor's in fine arts, Animation or other similar education qualification.
  • Strong portfolio that showcases a good grasp of fundamental concepts of 2D/3D art with project-based work (game-based work will be a plus).
  • 2-4 years experience in art pipelines, creation of 2D/3D art assets and animation.
  • Working knowledge of 3D art techniques and software packages such as Maya, 3Ds Max or Blender
  • Knowledge of Adobe Product Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator is a plus)
  • Comfortable working with designers and gameplay programmers in game engines (Unity, Unreal) and basic knowledge of game engine interface, asset transfer from art-based software to game engines
  • Experience in using source control (Git, Perforce) is a plus.

  • An ability to understand technical needs that help in optimisation of assets, or, at least, research on aspects that make your artwork fall under technical specification is highly desirable.
  • Ability to take feedback that is for the betterment of the work presented and iterate based on it while presenting the thought process behind the changes.
  • A fail fast, fail forward attitude that focuses on process rather than jumping to end results.
  • A creative mind who is curious about other disciplines (UX, game design, product design) and excited to contribute to ideas that make a game better.
