Our client, an international Insurance organisation, is seeking a Manager, Financial Accounting & Reporting to join their Singapore office. The incumbent will lead a team of 2 in managing the following responsibilities;
- Prepare monthly management accounts (including IFRS 17) within strict reporting deadlines
- Prepare quarterly and annual MAS submissions in accordance with MAS regulatory requirements
- Prepare annual financial statements in accordance with local GAAP requirements
- Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations for all accounts
- Prepare quarterly and year end reporting exhibits to Head Office
- Manage and coordinate with auditors (external, internal and regulators) and ensure efficient and timely completion of audits
- Coordinate with Tax Department (internal shared services) in the preparation and timely submission of local income tax returns and ensuring all information is submitted to the Tax Department on a timely and consistent basis
- Responsible for the efficient and effective functioning of the accounting and regulatory reporting processes including maintenance of effective internal controls, and driving automation and process improvement opportunities.
We are looking to speak to Qualified Accountants with minimum of 7 years of insurance accounting and regulatory reporting experience. Working knowledge of Oracle and IFRS17 is advantageous.
