Assistant Director of Sales

Assistant Director of Sales is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing and managing the hotel's sales team and activities. This position plays a crucial role in driving revenue, establishing strong client relationships, and ensuring the hotel meets its sales targets.


Key Responsibilities:

Sales Strategy:

· Develop and implement effective sales strategies to ensure revenue objectives and KPIs are achieved

· Review self and team performance

· Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and trends.

· Collaborate with the marketing team to align sales efforts with overall promotional activities.

Team Leadership:

· Lead, mentor, and manage the sales & marketing team, providing guidance and support.

· Set clear sales targets and monitor performance against goals.

· Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the team's skills and product knowledge.

Client Relationship Management:

· Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, corporate accounts, and industry partners.

· Attend industry events and networking functions to promote the hotel and expand client base.

· Ensure exceptional customer service to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty.

Revenue Management:

· Analyze market trends and competitor activities to optimize pricing strategies.

· Work closely with revenue management teams to maximize room revenue and profitability.

· Utilize data analytics to identify opportunities for revenue growth.

Sales Collateral and Communication:

· Oversee the creation of sales collateral, presentations, and promotional materials.

· Coordinate with the marketing team to ensure consistency in brand messaging.

· Communicate effectively with internal departments to align sales efforts with operational capabilities.

Budget Management:

· Develop and manage the sales department budget.

· Monitor expenses and implement cost-control measures to achieve financial objectives.

Reporting and Analysis:

· Generate regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and forecasts.

· Analyze sales data to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats.

Qualifications:

· Passion in the hospitality industry

· Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.

· Proven experience in hotel sales management, with a successful track record.

· Strong leadership and team management skills.

· Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities.

· In-depth knowledge of the hospitality industry and market dynamics.

· Proficient in using sales management software and tools.

· Results-oriented with a focus on achieving and exceeding targets.
