Job Summary
An exciting opportunity for Java professional with experience in banking back office applications to be involved in both development projects and support. This opportunity offers training to learn new skills in Calypso.
Mandatory Skill-set
- Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology;
- At least 5-6 years of experience in Java/J2EE development and application support;
- Experience of working in on one or more banking applications namely Payment, Risk calculation, Trade processing, Foreign exchange, Bonds, Equities, Wholesale banking, Corporate banking and Finacle applications;
- Hands-on experience with Spring or similar framework;
- Experience of translating a business requirement into Java code and developing it;
- Possess experience and proficiency in UNIX Shell Scripting, RDMS, and SQL;
- Hands-on using CI / CD pipelines and working in test-driven development (TDD) environment;
- Has experience working in banking industry, especially in back office applications;
- Sound knowledge of Financial Markets, especially back office domain;
- Effective communicator, with the ability to communicate with business/users;
- Independent and yet a strong team player in a global environment;
- Able to maintain a positive and pleasant attitude in a high-pressure environment.
- Ability to work under pressure and deliver excellent results.
Desired Skill-set
- Knowledge in Calypso;
- ITIL Certified;
- Experience working in Agile environment.
Responsibilities
- Involve in design, development and ensure delivery of requirements along with the team;
- Responsible for application related change requests, day-to-day coordination, implementations and support;
- Responsible for stability of production environments by delivering functional and technical support;
- Create automated test cases for validating the solution;
- Involve in Regression Testing and User Acceptance Testing;
- Create user guides and provide training;
- Involve in continuous service improvements and automation of BAU Activities;
- Provide production support in rotational shifts along with on call support during non-peak hours or weekend support;
- Adhere to change management requirements for application and system implementations.
