Job Description:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Construction Project Coordinator to support our construction projects and ensure their successful execution from inception to completion. The Construction Project Coordinator will play a critical role in facilitating communication, coordinating activities, and maintaining project documentation to ensure project objectives are met on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering high-quality construction projects.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development and maintenance of project schedules, budgets, and resources allocation plans.
- Coordinate project meetings, including scheduling, agenda preparation, and minute-taking, and ensure timely distribution of meeting minutes and action items.
- Liaise with project stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers, to facilitate communication and ensure alignment with project goals and objectives.
- Assist in the preparation and distribution of project documentation, including contracts, change orders, submittals, and other project-related correspondence.
- Monitor project progress and performance against established milestones, identifying deviations and facilitating timely resolution of issues to keep projects on track.
- Assist in the procurement process, including preparing bid packages, evaluating bids, and issuing purchase orders, ensuring compliance with project requirements and budgetary constraints.
- Collaborate with the project management team to track project costs, expenditures, and variances, and prepare regular project cost reports for review and analysis.
- Assist in the coordination of construction activities, including site logistics, material deliveries, and subcontractor coordination, to ensure efficient and safe project execution.
- Maintain organized project files and records, both electronically and in hard copy, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and accessibility of project documentation.
- Support quality control and assurance processes by monitoring workmanship, conducting inspections, and documenting deficiencies, and assisting in the resolution of quality-related issues.
- Provide general administrative support to the project management team, including managing correspondence, processing invoices, and coordinating travel arrangements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3 years in a construction-related role, preferably in project coordination or administration.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders and build collaborative relationships.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and project management software tools.
- Knowledge of construction processes, terminology, and industry best practices.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work, with a commitment to quality and excellence.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team, demonstrating initiative, flexibility, and adaptability.
