Our client is from Semiconductor industry. They are now recruiting a Purchasing Engineer to be part of their Purchasing team to assist their team for the next phase of their business. They are located in the North - easily accessible.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Estimate costs for various electronic components and modules.
- Assist in R&D by suggesting new technologies and selecting components.
- Oversee procurement processes for quality, cost, and delivery at NPI projects.
- Optimize product costs through procurement strategies and negotiations.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders and suppliers.
- Facilitate design-to-cost and cost reduction initiatives.
- Support in managing material orders, deliveries, and engineering changes.
- Transfer knowledge to commodity managers.
- Perform tasks as assigned by managers.
Requirements:
- Degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering or related field.
