Activity Title: Chess CCA Training Programme at St. Joseph's Institution Junior
Objectives:
- Develop fundamental chess skills and knowledge.
- Foster socialization and teamwork while instilling discipline.
- Promote Josephian values for character building.
- Cultivate values of fair play, resilience, and discipline.
- Assess student performance using rubrics.
Program Outcomes:
- Students can apply basic chess rules.
- Students can play at recreational and competitive levels.
- Students demonstrate sportsmanship and values.
- Students are evaluated based on skills, attitude, and behavior.
Scope of Services:
1. Develop curriculum and teaching materials.
2. Collaborate with PE Department.
3. Design assessment rubrics.
4. Provide feedback and recommendations.
5. Identify and train competition squads.
6. Conduct in-house competitions.
7. Provide necessary equipment.
Contract Details:
- Base Period: 1 Jul 2024 - 30 Jun 2025
- Option Period: 1 Jul 2025 - 30 Jun 2026
- Estimated Sessions: 40 for Base & Option Periods
- Instructors: 2 on Wednesdays, 1 on Thursdays
- Venue: St. Joseph's Institution Junior
Payment:
- Hourly rate basis.
- Payment at end of each month.
- Additional sums if total training hours < 80% of estimate.
- Termination payment based on actual hours provided.
Instructor Requirements:
- Registered with MOE and NROC.
- Preferably 3 years of coaching experience.
- Track record of similar training programs.
- Valid Employment Pass if not a citizen or PR.
- Instruction in English.
