Responsibilities:
•Lead, drive and supervise a team of instrument technicians for site execution of pre commissioning, commissioning and function testing of field instrumentation, F&G devices, and well conversant with ICSS (Integrated Control and Safety System) and Addressable Fire & Gas Detection System.
• Able to operate Siemens ICSS Workstation or equivalent at CCR and to supervise the instrument working teams on site.
• Carry out isolations / de-isolations on instrument equipment.
• Conduct daily Tool Box Talks to Instrument Commissioning Technicians to ensure full understanding of work scope as per PTW requirements.
• Site management of commissioning activities, tools, shipped-loose items, consumables and spares.
• Ensure that commissioning testing activities are conducted safely and complies with the site PTW and safety regulations and procedures.
• Liaise with vendors for providing assistance in carrying out pre-commissioning and commissioning scope of work related to vendor packages.
• Carry out troubleshooting of faults arising during commissioning tests and issue daily report / log for activity progress.
• Submission of commissioning documentation such as checksheets, test procedures, red-line mark-up drawings, etc. completed during commissioning tests.
• Verification of As-Commissioned and red-line as-built documents together with agreed punch list items. • Issuance of daily timesheet and progress reports.
Requirements:
• Diploma in Instrument Engineering.
• Min. 8 years’ experience in instrumentation commissioning procedures and loop check checking, pre-commissioning and commissioning on large oil & gas projects, working in a fabrication site with multicultural work force.
• Familiar with Instrumentation and Control system standards (Norsok, IEC, etc.) and understanding of Hazardous Areas and ATEX requirements.
• Conversant with the use of instrument test equipment including HART communicator.
• Familiar with loop drawings, P&ID, block diagram, layout drawings, C&E, logic diagrams, etc.
• Knowledge of electrical / instrument interfaces.
• Experience and understanding of Project Completion Management Procedures such as MC-ITRs, PC-ITRs, and PIMS-CMS database is an added advantage.
• Effective team player and ability to communicate in English.
• Good documentation skill such as red-line / as-built drawing markup preparation, etc.
• Good leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team with strong troubleshooting skill.
• Familiar with Permit –To-Work system and Lock-Out Tag-Out procedures.
• CompEx Trained.
