Responsibilities:
• Lead, drive and supervise a team of electrical technicians for site execution of pre-commissioning, commissioning and function testing of LV Switchgears, UPS systems, transformers, VFDs, distribution panels, etc.
• Carry out isolations / de-isolations on as per PTW/LOTO requirement on electrical equipment up to and including 690V as an Authorized Electrical Person (AEP) as approved by Responsible Electrical Person (REP).
• Conduct daily Toolbox Talks to Electrical Commissioning Technicians to ensure full understanding of work scope as per PTW requirements.
• Site management of commissioning activities, tools, shipped-loose items, consumables, and spares.
• Ensure that commissioning testing activities are conducted safely and complies with the site PTW and safety regulations and procedures.
• Liaise with vendors for providing assistance in carrying out pre-commissioning and commissioning scope of work related to vendor packages.
• Carry out troubleshooting of faults arising during commissioning tests.
• Submission of commissioning documentation such as check sheets, test procedures, red-line mark-up drawings, etc. completed during commissioning tests.
• Verification of As-Commissioned and red-line as-built documents together with agreed punch list items.
• Issuance of daily timesheet and progress reports.
Requirements:
• Diploma in Electrical Engineering with min. 8 year’s experience / Trade Certificate in Electrical with min. 8 years’ experience.
• Experience in testing and fault finding and troubleshooting of HV/LV transformers, UPS, batteries, motors, LV switchboards, VT, CT, motor starters, control panel, power distribution panels, lighting system, socket outlets, heat tracing, Nav Aids etc.
• Good leadership, interpersonal and communication skills.
• Able to work independently as well as in a team with strong troubleshooting skill.
• Familiar with Permit –To-Work system and Lock-Out Tag-Out procedures.
• Familiar with ATEX and Hazardous Area Equipment.
• Good understanding and application of Electrical Safe Working Practices.
• EEHA Certified (COMPEX)Trained.
