Job Description:
We are seeking a meticulous and adaptable accountant to manage our company's financial and tax accounting tasks. This role requires an individual who can work independently, with proficiency in handling full-set accounts, including withholding tax, GST, and corporate tax obligations.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for daily accounting operational functions. Handle full sets of accounts including reconciliations, cash flow, month/year-end closing, and year-end audit schedules.
- Prepare and submit tax returns monthly/quarterly, adhering to local regulations and deadlines.
- Maintain and manage GST inputs and outputs, oversee the management of commercial and service industry invoices, and ensure the proper handling of financial documentation.
- Liaise with tax authorities and banks, and handle periodic and ad hoc inspections by governmental bodies. Complete annual audits within specified deadlines.
- Review expense reports against company policies, control costs effectively, and assist with budget preparation.
- Manage and account for fixed assets, ensuring detailed tracking and reporting in compliance with accounting standards.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting or a related field.
- At least 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in international trade. Proficiency with financial software and ability to handle full-set accounts independently.
- Strong work ethic, diligent and detail-oriented. Committed to professionalism and ethical conduct.
- Quick learner with strong analytical skills and the ability to think independently and derive insights from work experiences.
- Preference is given to candidates with business-related work experience and familiarity with accounting and tax regulations in Singapore and other Southeast Asia regions.
