As part of succession planning, we are now looking for a Group CFO to join our senior leadership team to drive the continuous success of the business.

Job Description

Strategic and Financial Planning & Analysis:

Collaborate with the CEO and other executives to set the company's strategic direction.
Evaluate and manage mergers, acquisitions, and other significant business transactions.
Identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue enhancement.
Develop and manage short-term and long-term budgets that align with the turnaround strategy.
Regularly analyse financial performance against turnaround goals and provide actionable insights to the executive team.
Create financial forecasts to guide strategic decision-making and track progress against turnaround milestones.

Financial Reporting and Compliance:

Ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of financial statements in accordance with relevant accounting standards
Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements, including those set by stock exchanges and securities regulators.
Oversee internal and external audits and implement recommendations.
Identify financial risks and develop mitigation strategies to protect the company's assets and reputation.

Restructuring and Treasury Management

Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives across the organization.
Work with department heads to streamline operations, eliminate inefficiencies, and improve productivity.
Formulate a comprehensive financial turnaround plan, including cost-cutting measures, asset sales, and restructuring initiatives.
Negotiate with lenders and creditors to restructure existing debt and secure favorable terms.
Oversee cash flow management, including liquidity and working capital requirements.
Explore and secure new financing options, including equity investment, to support the turnaround plan.
Develop and maintain relationships with banks, investors, and other financial institutions.

Leadership and Team Management:

Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance.
Maintain open and transparent communication with stakeholders, including the board of directors, investors, creditors, and employees.
Drive change management initiatives to align the organization with the turnaround objectives.

The Successful Applicant

A Bachelor's degree in Finance and Accounting, CPA/CA qualified. You should be in a finance leadership role in the recent years with listed company, with the initial career starting off in accounting firm. Experience in business transformation functions will be of great advantage. You possess strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with internal and external stakeholders. You have proven ability to develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the organisation's overall business objectives.
