The LNG Operator will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to manage all aspects of cargo and commercial operations and develop relationships with counterparties.
He/she will ensure obligations arising from trading contracts are met, optimize profitability and minimize losses as well as support the development of new contracts.
Responsibilities:
- Stay abreast of the global LNG market supply and demand drivers.
- Liaise with counterparty operators to coordinate operational requirements as set out in the agreements
- Coordinate cargo documentation exchange, import/export permits declaration for regulatory compliance, and liaise with terminals, vessels, and counterparts in completing all the cargo documents
- Appoint independent surveyors and review surveyor reports and verify cargo quantity in accordance with agreed measurement & testing protocols
- Facilitate invoicing and payment process, demurrage calculation and invoicing, and manage inventory of post-operation paperwork.
- Ensure that all pertinent information is entered in an accurate and timely manner into trading systems
- Monitor inventory and cargo quality of storage tank at the terminal; coordinate storage & reload activities.
- Review term sheet/agreement for operational excellence and compliance.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree
- Experience working as an Oil and Gas Cargo / Trade Operator with a physical trading company, preferably with exposure to LNG or LPG
