Responsibilities:
- Oversee the maintenance, operation, and logistical coordination of the company’s fleet of vehicles and heavy machinery.
- Ensure optimal utilization and routine maintenance to reduce downtime and increase efficiency.
- Manage the scheduling and routing of materials and equipment to various construction sites.
- Ensure timely deliveries and optimize transport routes to minimize costs and improve efficiency.
- Coordinate with suppliers and project managers to ensure that all materials and equipment are available when needed.
- Manage procurement processes and maintain relationships with vendors.
- Ensure that all logistics operations comply with local, state, and federal regulations and safety standards.
- Oversee the training of staff in safety protocols and environmental policies.
- Lead and manage the logistics team, providing guidance and support to ensure high performance and development of staff.
- Resolve any issues that arise in the logistics process.
- Develop and manage the logistics budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness in fleet operations and transport management.
- Maintain detailed records of logistics operations and prepare reports on logistics performance for upper management.
Requirements:
- Minimum Diploma / Degree in Logistics / Supply Chain / Constructions management or equivalent
- At least 4 – 5 years of relevant fleet / transportation management experience in the construction / civil engineering industries
- Possess Class 3 driving license
- Able to start work immediately or within short notice
- Good leadership and management skills
- Able to work in a fast pace environment
