Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead HSE and QA/QC activities: You will be responsible for overseeing all health, safety, environmental, and quality assurance/quality control aspects of projects. This includes developing and implementing QHSE systems, ensuring compliance with regulations (ISO standards), and leading your team to deliver high-quality work.
  • Incident investigation and reporting: You will be responsible for investigating incidents, non-conformances, and client complaints. You will also need to prepare reports and ensure they are submitted to the client within deadlines.
  • Document control and quality assurance: You will ensure all project documents are reviewed for accuracy and formatted correctly before issuance. You will also oversee the quality assurance and quality control of subsea intervention procedures for manned diving and ROV operations.
  • QHSE audits and inspections: You will conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with QHSE standards. This includes overseeing the project's QHSE Management System and conducting safety inspections of equipment and operations.
  • Accountable for the development, management and implementation of SPHI KSB’s quality policies, procedures, programs, and practices, to assure that SPHI KSB continuously complies with appropriate standards and regulations. This will include ensuring the upkeep of the QHSE systems and BMS to meet the requirements of the QHSE standards, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015.
  • Training and competence: You will be responsible for providing QHSE training to staff and ensuring personnel competency meets industry standards (IOGP Guideline 292).
  • Continuous improvement: You will analyze QHSE data, identify areas for improvement, and propose solutions. You will also be responsible for implementing lessons learned into procedures.
  • Collaboration and communication: You will collaborate with the QA/QC Supervisor on audits and advise management on safety issues and improvements. You will also work closely with project engineers and offshore teams.
  • Responsible to develop QHSE plans, QHSE procedures, Emergency Rescue Plan (ERP’s), Hazard registers and Level 1 Risk Assessment or Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA) meetings.
  • Responsible to review the WPR’s to ensure that all HSE aspects have been addressed.
  • Responsible to organize, chair HIRA Level 1 meetings.

Qualifications

  • NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or its equivalent and certified by NIOSH preferred.
  • Have working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001:2018 and ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 19011:2018 Guidelines for auditing management system.
  • Fully conversant as a QHSE support function with all methods of ROV and diving, including saturation techniques.
  • Qualified lead Incident Investigator, such as OSHA ICAM Lead Incident Investigator.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in offshore subsea construction/ Underwater contracting/ offshore installation of pipelines and structures and subsea/SURF operations preferred.
