We are looking for skilled Culinary Chef to join our team! Grow with our team as we expand. We are dedicated in ensuring all our exceptional people have an exceptional career with us. You will have multiple opportunities to work towards F&B management or to diversify into other roles within our company with our professional training standards and mentorship.
General Responsibilities
A. To prepare all assigned mise en place such as, but not limited to, preparation of all food portions, condiments, stations, cooking equipment and serving wares before each service
B. To complete other duties such as, but not limited to, filleting and portioning produce, checking produce freshness, stock count, kitchen cleanliness and assisting the Culinary Chefs
C. To ensure that all culinary equipment are well-maintained and working properly
D. To adhere strictly to all standard operating procedures
E. To report all guest concerns and negativefeedback to the direct superior
F. To place a priority on safety and teamwork by always looking to assist other team members
G. To report to the direct superior before and after each service for a briefing
H. To be completely familiar with the recipe book
I. To ensure all areas, fridges, worktops, containers and equipment in the kitchen are always clean and sanitary for use
Culinary Responsibilities
A. To be in total compliance with the recipe book
B. To wash, cut, and prepare foods designated for cooking, and to verify that the prepared food meets the Head Chef's requirements in quality and quantity
C. To clean down after each service and to return culinary equipment to their allocated positions
D. To follow the instructions of the chefs in fulfilling all special guests requests
E. To work closely with the Sous Chef and to give accurate timings for food preparation
F. To be willing to perform all other relevant duties as assigned by the chefs
G. To assist in checking the quality of all food deliveries
Cleanliness and Safety
A. To ensure a clean, neat and organised work area
B. To maintain health and safety standards at all culinary areas
C. To ensure that all SFA and food safety regulations are strictly followed
Skill Sets
A. To demonstrate an enthusiastic and positive attitude
B. To always lead by example and communicate effectively
C. To be diligent and able to work in a fast paced culinary environment
D. To be able to multi-task, working on several dishes at the same time
E. To be able to reach, bend, stoop, and to work in a standing position for long periods of time
F. To be able to execute recipes unsupervised
G. To possess the necessary level of literacy and numeracy
H. To be able to formulate, oversee, all required reports in productivity software such as Microsoft Office Word, Microsoft Office Powerpoint, Microsoft Office Excel and their equivalents
