Job Scope:
- Incoming materials inspection
- Daily in-process QC inspection a production lines
- Perform testing on finished products
- Conduct fortnightly factory inspection
- Equipment maintenance and calibration
- Keep updated with developments of new products in the market.
- Make recommendations to Supervisor on new products
- Develop new product formulations along with supervisor
- Conduct R&D trials to produce samples for evaluations
- Technical evaluation of new and existing raw materials ( ingredients etc.)
- Responsible for laboratory routine house-keeping program
- Review relevant Food Regulations to ensure regulatory compliance
- Sourcing for food ingredients and work closely with them if needed
- Develop new product packaging including bar code setting, product label
- Continuously improve existing products and processes to improve costs as well as Product formulations
- Contribute to Customer Complaints Product Quality Issue (Investigation & report preparation)
- Update ISO/HACCP documents when changes occur
- Check and ensure product label/sticker in compliance to customer and/or government or export country regulations
- Do other R&D or QA tasks assigned by superior.
Requirement:
· Minimum 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in Food & Nutrition industry
· Diploma in Food Technology/Science/Nutrition
· Able to apply food technology knowledge to formulate new products with minimal supervision or guidance
· Skilled in sourcing for food ingredients
· Skilled in R&D project management
· Able to think creatively and passionate about new ideas
· ISO, HACCP, BRC, HALAL certification related knowledge
· Dairy knowledge/experience will be an advantage
· Excellent IT skills, particularly in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access
