Deputy General Manager, Administration

Nippon Express (south Asia & Oceania) Pte. Ltd.

PURPOSE

  • This position direct reports to the Vice President & Chief of Regional Corporate Strategy.
  • As a head of the administration team at the regional headquarters, oversees 27 companies in 15 countries, they will contribute to organizational development, strengthening of the management base, and governance to realize the NX Group's regional growth strategy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Regional administration responsibility includes formulation of regional policies, business strategy planning, organization management, corporate branding, sustainability management, etc.
  • Promote close communication and coordination between Japan headquarters, other regions, and operating companies in each country.
  • Manage the efficient and sustainable organizational operation of the company.
  • Lead efforts to upgrade the work environment and increase employee engagement.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor degree in Business Administration or relevant field
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar role in a medium to large MNC service industry.
  • Knowledge and experience in corporate planning and business administration.
  • Sufficient skill in research, data analysis and reporting.
  • Preferable with experience in Logistics industry.
  • Has a deep understanding of the Japanese target market and company culture.
  • Ability to work effectively with our Japanese partners, respecting and understanding their work ethics and business customs.

  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with ability to influence and build relationships across broad range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to convey ideas and recommendations in a clear, compelling, and succinct way in written and verbal communications
  • Highly organized, being able to prioritize and to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, comfortable with high volume workload and willing to "roll up your sleeves”.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage technology and data to analyze, invent, and scale.
